Community Outreach

At GBMC we've made a commitment to improving the health of those living in our community.  Whether you're right next-door, down the street or living in the next county, we have programs and services available to help improve your health and well-being!

A major focus of our community outreach program is to develop and maintain a number of partnerships within the community. GBMC is a frequent participant in community health fairs and special events. In addition, the Hospital provides screenings and education in area schools, community agencies, churches and corporations free of charge.

Some of the screenings that are offered (based on availability) include: vision, hearing, BMI, osteoporosis, blood pressure, glucose, skin, breast, prostate and colorectal cancer as well as others. Educational programs presented to the general public have included such topics as uterine fibroid embolization, urinary incontinence, comprehensive obesity management and smoking cessation.
