Steven K. Twaddle, FACMPE
Steven K. Twaddle, FACMPE, joined the executive staff of GBMC HealthCare in August 2006 as vice president of Greater Baltimore Medical Associates, an employed physician enterprise, and serves as a member of the GBMC HealthCare Executive Team. A 16-year veteran of healthcare management, Mr. Twaddle is responsible for GBMA, including financial, human resources, planning, marketing, information systems, risk and governance, and for developing its strategic plans, policies, and growth strategy.
Mr. Twaddle has a wealth of expertise in the areas of healthcare planning, operations, finance, capital and risk management within multi-specialty medical groups. Prior to joining GBMC, he was principal and founder of Twaddle & Associates in Chattanooga, Tenn., a physician practice management firm specializing in working with academic medical centers, hospitals and multi-specialty medical groups. He also served as chief executive officer of Hawthorn Medical Associates in New Bedford, Mass., executive administrator of the Ochsner Clinic in Baton Rouge, La. and executive director of the Trover Clinic in Madisonville, Ky.
Mr. Twaddle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration/computer science from the University of Cameron in Lawton, Okla., and master’s degrees from the University of Dallas in both business administration and healthcare management.
Mr. Twaddle is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a member of the Medical Group Management Association. He has lectured at various medical school programs including Harvard School of Public Health, University of New Orleans and University of Louisville. In addition, he served as an adjunct faculty member for the MBA program at the University of Dallas.
