Ms. Newmark has been in charge of GBMC's lactation department since its inception, 21 years ago. Besides being the mother of many breastfed children and grandchildren, she is a registered nurse and internationally board-certified lactation consultant. Prior to working at GBMC, Marla had worked in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Step Down Unit, and Newborn Nursery for close to 20 years.
