Relapsing PolychondritisHow does relapsing polycondritus affect the lungs and have you had experience with this rare condition?

Neri M. Cohen, MD, PhD, Medical Director, Greater Baltimore Medical Associates, Chief-Division of Thoracic Surgery replies...

Relapsing polychondritis can affect the lungs by airway (tracheobronchial) involvement resulting in airflow obstruction. It is exceedingly rare and, no, I have never seen it.
