The Vascular Surgery Center at GBMC

(443) 849-2110

The Division of Vascular Surgery offers all FDA- and Medicare-approved treatments for peripheral vascular disease. GBMC is among the busiest hospitals in Maryland performing vascular procedures including carotid endarterectomy and carotid artery stents; surgical procedures that remove stroke-inducing blockages from the carotid artery supplying the brain; removal of significant, acute blood clots from veins, adding a new dimension to the treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT); aortic aneurysm surgery, both open and with minimally invasive stent graphs, to eliminate the threat of a fatal hemorrhage because of a weakened blood vessel; extremity arterial reconstruction, to treat arterial blockages with both balloon dilatation stents and bypass surgery; and varicose vein procedures, to eliminate leg pain and swelling. GBMC surgeons also train physicians from other medical centers in these advanced, minimally invasive techniques. For more information or for a physician referral, please call us at (443) 849-2110.
