In November, 2009 the Greater Baltimore Medical Center joined forces with Johns Hopkins University on yet another front by becoming a member of the Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Network.
The Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Network is a small network of academic and community-based centers whose aim is to accelerate the transfer of new diagnostic, treatment, and disease prevention advances from the research arena into patient care. The JHCRN provides new opportunities for research collaborations by linking physician-scientists and staff from the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions with community-based medical centers like Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Inova Healthsystem, and Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
