Peter S. Liao, MD, PhD, joined GBMC´s Comprehensive Obesity Management Program as the Medical Director of the GBMC Comprehensive Obesity Management Program (C.O.M.P.) in August 2008; prior to his appointment, he served as the Medical Director of Bariatrics Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. While performing over 1000 surgical cases, Dr. Liao has structured his practice to specialize in Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Gastric Banding, and Sleeve Gastrectomy, as well as other advanced laparoscopic and general surgery procedures. Dr. Liao serves on various hospital quality review committees to ensure that best practices are being followed for all patient care. Dr. Liao´s philosophy on patient care supports GBMC´s Mission, Vision and Greater Values, all of which support C.O.M.P.´s goal to help patients complete and succeed in their journey to a healthier life.

Dr. Babak Moeinolmolki, MD, MA, is one of the pioneering weight loss doctors who built the foundation of GBMC´s Comprehensive Obesity Management Program (C.O.M.P.) since its inception in 2005. In addition to his work as a bariatrics and advanced laparoscopic surgeon, he oversees the hospital´s safety standards for the Program´s Center of Excellence initiatives. Dr. Moein, or Dr. Mo, as many of his patients call him, has performed more than 1000 bariatric and advanced laparoscopic procedures with an excellent track record of safety and efficiency. While focusing his practice to specialize in Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Gastric Banding, and Sleeve Gastrectomy and other advanced laparoscopic procedures, he has been able to introduce other cutting edge techniques such as advanced-endoscopic and single-port surgical procedures to our hospital staff and patients.
