Held annually to recognize and thank donors of the Virginia Sherwood Council.
A series of dinners featuring lectures by GBMC physicians, focusing on health-related topics and evolving healthcare issues of community interest. Held four to six times a year, October through May. Dinner and lecture begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Civiletti Conference Center. Cost is $20 per person/limited seating. Please note that the dinner is free for members of the Elizabeth Duncan Yaggy Society.

The 22nd Annual GBMC Golf Classic will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD. All proceeds benefit the GBMC Medical Staff's Nursing & Allied Health Professional Education Fund and the John E. Savage Medical Library. Join us at our new location at the beautiful Turf Valley Resort. All golfers willl play the afternoon flight on 2 championship gold courses. This annual steeplechase event will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Shawan Downs. The event is organized by the Land Preservation Trust, with GBMC as the charitable beneficiary. As in the past, the GBMC Foundation is selling raffle tickets for a 2010 Mercedes-Benz on campus in the gift shop. Both the Father's Day 5K & 1.5 Mile Fun Run and the Golf Classic present wonderful sponsorship opportunities. Both events offer sponsors a high level of visibility prior to the event, as well as on the day of the event, while supporting three of GBMC's very important programs:
The GBMC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides quality healthcare to over 500 infants each year.
The Medical Staff/Allied Health Professionals Education Fund provides scholarships to the medical staff, allowing them to maintain their certifications and continue providing outstanding medical care to the community.
