Practice Overview  Dr. Arash Taavoni is a member of GBMC's Division of Neurology and Primary Stroke Center. He is a fellowship trained neurologist who is triple board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in specialties of Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy. He completed his fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Clinical Neurophysiology and finished his Neurology residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, where he served as Chief Neurology Resident. After his medical training he returned to his hometown of Baltimore where he grew up. Dr. Taavoni is experienced in diagnosing and treating a range of neurological disorders including epilepsy, headaches, multiple sclerosis, stroke and peripheral neuropathy. He provides both inpatient and outpatient consultation. Dr. Taavoni provides a variety of services including BOTOX injections for migraines and spasticity; in addition, to performing electromyography (EMG) and interpreting electroencephalograms (EEG). He has been involved in teaching medical residents and community educational programs.
