Comprehensive Breast Care Center Services
Respect and concern for the dignity and privacy of each individual define our practice. By design, the Comprehensive Breast Care Center at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center provides convenient access to a full range of services; this means patients are able to talk with experts in surgery, plastic surgery, medical oncology, infusion therapy, radiation oncology and patient education. For additional convenience, mammography services are available in the Center.
Patients are encouraged to ask questions and to be active participants in their care. The Center and the patient are partners every step of the way: Diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
As a dedicated breast care center, our services address benign and malignant breast conditions. For breast cancer and other breast conditions requiring intervention and treatment, we provide on-site imaging, breast cyst aspirations, and minimally invasive breast biopsies. Most of these services can be performed on the same day as the initial visit.

- Genetic Testing Consultation:
Genetic counseling and DNA testing provide families with accurate risk estimation, genetic testing when appropriate, personalized guidelines for screening and follow-up, and psychological support. - Support Programs in individual and group settings:
Patients and families benefit from education, counseling and psychosocial support during treatment and recovery. - Lymphedema Consultation:
Diagnosis and treatment of lymphedema, a swelling of the arm that can occur when lymph nodes are removed. - Nutritional Counseling:
A nutritionist will create a healthy diet for optimal recovery.
