The Sandra and Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC participates in numerous clinical trials for cancer treatment, prevention, and symptom management. Our goal is to provide access for patients to highly advanced therapeutic options to improve overall quality of life in a personalized community hospital setting.
The Cancer Institute at GBMC presently offers more than 50 cancer treatment-related clinical trials for a wide variety of disease sites. In addition we offer clinical trials aimed at the prevention and detection of cancer and several trials targeting the management of symptoms associated with cancer and chemotherapy. |
The Cancer Institute participates in clinical trials through numerous pharmaceutical companies as well as through the following national cooperative groups:
- American College of Surgeons Oncology Group (ACOSOG)
- Eastern Cooperative Oncology Groups (ECOG)
- National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP)
- Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU)
