New Donor Plaque Adorns
The new “donor appreciation” plaque recently installed at the entrance to The Sandra and Malcolm Berman Breast Care Center will display the names of individuals who donate $100 or more to benefit breast cancer patients at GBMC. In 2004, the center was named to honor the extraordinary leadership gift made by Sandra and Malcolm Berman in appreciation for the treatment Mr. Berman received at GBMC’s Milton J. Dance, Jr., Head and Neck Center.
At The Sandra and Malcolm Berman Breast Care Center, healthcare providers and treatments are available to see patients through every step of diagnosis, treatment and recovery — all in one location. The Center includes surgical, medical and radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons, oncology nurses, genetic counselors, a psychologist and radiologists. The Advanced Radiology Pavilion is connected for the patients’ convenience, for mammography, ultrasound and biopsy services. Complete lab results are available within 48 hours, unlike the two-week turnaround of most other labs.
This is what makes The Sandra and Malcolm Berman Comprehensive Breast Care Center the choice of more than 600 patients each year, as well as the choice for the generous support of many individuals who are grateful for the excellent, and often lifesaving, treatment they or a loved one has received.
