Health Careers Foundation Scholarship/Loan Program
Health Careers Foundation was established in 1990 by Health Services Corporation of America, a national leader in healthcare purchasing and the National Healthcare Coalition, an organization composed of CEO's who represent major healthcare systems and hospitals throughout the country.
Health Careers Foundation is an independent not-for-profit, public foundation. The direction of Health Careers Foundation is shaped by its 15-member Board of Directors, who have a wide and diverse background in the healthcare industry.
Dietetics, Pharmacy, Health Information Mgmt, Physical Therapy, Medical Technology, Radiology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Pathology.
All scholarships/loans are based on school costs with a maximum of $4000 per year of part-time or full-time study at an accredited institution. The award will consist of one-half scholarship and one-half loan and may be used for tuition, required fees and books only. Checks are mailed directly to your permanent address in two installments. The first payment will be mailed in mid-August and the second payment will be mailed in January. The maximum loan indebtedness is $8000.
- Mid December materials are delivered to participating hospitals.
- April 1st, is the deadline to submit applications and transcriptions.
- June 30th, award recipients announced.
- Mid July participating hospitals are notified of award recipients pertaining to their hospital.
- Mid August, first payment mailed.
- September 1st, deadline for award recipients to accept award.
- January 15th, second payment is mailed after student submits a fall grade report card. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA.
