The Division of Endocrinology includes GBMC’s Geckle Diabetes and Nutrition Center which treats more than 700 patients annually. The Center offers a comprehensive approach to diabetes care and treatment for all forms of diabetes: Type 1, Type 2 and gestational. In addition to providing individualized support, the Center’s services are designed to educate both inpatients and outpatients on the importance of self-management skills and lifestyle changes. The Center also provides personalized education for other relevant conditions including: hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, eating disorders, unexplained weight loss, celiac disease, irritable bowel disease and renal disease.
