The Division of Nephrology cares for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease and related disorders. Nephrologists provide inpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, as well as emergency treatments for drug overdoses and other life threatening situations. Nephrologists help diagnose and manage challenging high blood pressure cases, fluid and electrolyte abnormalities and common kidney diseases. The Division, working with other departments, helps identify and treat rare problems such as acute nephritis or renal artery stenosis.
