Ways to Make a Difference

You can remember that special someone, or honor family, friends and other special people in your life now, while helping GBMC meet the medical needs of our community. Your donation to the GBMC Foundation is an investment in your community hospital’s ability to continue its long and distinguished tradition of providing the highest quality of healthcare.

You may designate your gift to a particular area of medical service or to be used where needed most.
You may specify your gift
in memory of someone who lives on in your heart,
to recognize or thank a GBMC physician, nurse or other staff person who provided care for you or someone you love
in celebration of the recovery of someone who has been a patient at GBMC,
in recognition of a special birthday, anniversary or other occasion

Gifts in honor or in memory of someone are acknowledged to the person or family you designate (actual gift amount not stated) and are listed in the GBMC Foundation’s RESOURCES.

The Virginia Sherwood Council honors donors of $1,000 or more annually. VSC members receive complimentary parking when visiting the medical center, newsletters and updates from the medical center and are invited to the annual recognition dinner (October 6, 2004 at the home of Mrs. H. Norman (Jeanne) Baetjer,) and other events.

The William A. & Jarnetta Kroh Society has been newly formed to recognize donors of $10,000 or more annually. Donors at this level of giving are also members of the Virginia Sherwood Council and are provided the benefits of the VSC as well as an invitation to a Spring 2005 recognition event.

The Joseph S. Keelty Society recognizes those individuals who have contributed $250,000 or more throughout their philanthropic relationship with GBMC through annual gifts or planned gifts. These extraordinary donors are inducted into the Keelty Society at the annual dinner and are recognized on the Keelty Society plaque in the medical center.

All gift amounts remain confidential and are tax-deductible.
