Breakthroughs in minimally invasive surgeries for women are changing the way in which we care for and treat a wide variety of conditions affecting the female patient population. Both benign and cancerous gynecologic conditions can now be treated using advanced conventional laparoscopy, laparoendoscopic single site surgery (LESS) and robotic surgical techniques.

GBMC's gynecologic surgeons perform the majority of procedures through tiny incisions, resulting in less pain and scarring for the patient, a shorter recovery time, and fewer complications over traditional methods. These surgical techniques can be used to treat a variety of conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts and tumors, and early stage female cancers.

Surgeons use collaborative clinical outcomes research to ensure they are updated on the latest techniques and treatments so they're able to put their patients at the forefront of the latest in gynecologic care. Their goal is to provide women with more options, positive outcomes and an improved quality of life after surgery.
