Cost Information

Hoover Services is a non-profit organization. The physician's fee and, when applicable, the facilities fee are usually covered by Medicare and other insurance companies.  Medicare now covers the fee for low vision device instruction/education, as well as rehabilitation training and orientation and mobility instruction.  Medicare covers the fee for this service only if you have Hopsital Part A coverage on your plan.  The fees for low vision devices are not covered by Medicare and other insurances.   These fees are out of pocket expenses.  However, Hoover Services provides grants to pay for these expenses for patients who are unable to afford them as shown in a financial eligibility application.
