Message from the Director:

The Center for Digestive Disorders is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary unit, offering an extensive state-of-the art spectrum of services for evaluation and diagnosis of gastrointestinal, gallbladder, liver and pancreatic diseases. We provide quality gastrointestinal diagnostic and therapeutic services for both in-patients and out-patients. This unit is approved by all insurance carriers. Our credentialling criteria for physicians are strict. Our complication rate is far below the national average in one of the busiest facilities in the country. Patient surveys show customer satisfaction extremely high.

Dr. Ibrahim A. Razzak has been practicing gastroenterology since 1975 after completing his fellowship at Bayview Johns Hopkins University Medical Institutions. He serves as Medical Director for the Center for Digestive Disorders and Chief for the Division of Gastroenterology at GBMC. He has served as the Governor for the American College of Gastroenterology for the State of Maryland for two terms. Dr. Razzak is a former president for the Maryland Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He serves as the course director for the annual "New Trends in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease" at GBMC. He earned the MRCP Degree (Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom), and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
