GBMC Med-Psych Service offers a multi-disciplinary team of highly trained and experienced specialists in a safe, supportive environment suited for the simultaneous treatment of psychological and medical conditions. The team works in collaboration with the patient's admitting physician, as well as family members, in order to fully assess and provide care management while hospitalized, and to plan continuing treatment upon discharge. The Med-Psych Unit at GBMC is the only service of its kind available in the area, and one of the few available in the United States.
