Criteria for Admission:

Any patient requiring an inpatient admission to a medical/surgical unit who also has underlying psychiatric or behavioral problems that could interfere with the management of their medical care.

Typical Patient Profiles:

• Psychiatric patient with medical problems
• Medical patient with psychiatric or behavioral problems.
• Patient requiring inpatient detoxification due to medical complications or risks
• Medical patient suffering from depression
• Patient with chronic pain needing a medical admission
