Michael S. Sellman, MD
Chief, The Center for Neurology at GBMC
Dr. Sellman is chief of its Division of Neurology and the Primary Stroke Center at GBMC. Dr. Sellman graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency there. He was a fellow of Electromyography and Clinical Neurophysiology at Academic Hospital in Uppsala, Sweden and University of Maryland. Board-certified in Neurology and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, his interests are in both Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular disorders. Before joining GBMC, Dr. Sellman served as Chief of the Division of Neurology at Mercy Medical Center since 2002.
James H. Bernheimer, MD
Dr. Bernheimer is a part of GBMC's Division of Neurology and the Primary Stroke Center at GBMC. Board-certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, Dr. Bernheimer previously served as Medical Director of the Stroke Center at Mercy Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Mercy. His residency in Neurology and fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology were both completed at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Arash Taavoni, DO
Dr. Taavoni is a board-certified neurologist. Dr. Taavoni earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He completed his residency in neurology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and his fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Anna V. Rosenbaum, MD
Dr. Rosenbaum has recently joined the Division of Neurology and the Primary Stroke Center at GBMC. Dr. Rosenbaum earned her medical degree at Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana and was chief resident and a vascular fellow at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland Dr. Rosenbaum previously served as a neurohospitalist prior to returning to Baltimore. Dr. Rosenbaum enjoys teaching and her primary interests include stroke prevention and acute stroke management.
