If you are looking to achieve a non-medicated birth this is the right class for you! This childbirth education class has a strong emphasis on relaxation and labor positioning. Phases and stages of labor, coping techniques, breathing patterns and partner support will all be discussed and practiced. This class requires physical mobility for both partners, so come prepared for a little activity on a birth ball!!
We recommend this class to be taken as soon as a pregnancy has been confirmed and as late as your 20th week of pregnancy. Sessions include physical changes and discomforts of pregnancy, wellness and nutrition, fetal testing and results, warning sign of pre term labor, what to expect in labor and delivery, the role of your partner , doula support and postpartum recovery adjustments. Wow!! What a great way to prepare yourself for the upcoming months.
This weekend format of the Childbirth Education class allows couples to complete their labor and delivery education in one day. Great class for parents with a busy work schedule or for those who just like to get it done. Content includes phases and stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, positioning for comfort, the role of your partner/doula support, and medication options.
