GBMC Parent Education Classes
GBMC's Lactation Station and Warm Line is staffed by registered nurses trained as breastfeeding experts (lactation specialists). In addition, all maternity and home case nurses provide breastfeeding support. They can help position your baby properly, advise you on how often to feed, offer breast care advise and more. Once home, mothers can call the "Warm Line" with questions or concern or schedule a personal appointment at 443-849-3428.
This class was designed for couples who desire to breastfeed their infant. As with any new begining you may need a little support and encouragement. Breastfeeding for many mothers is a very natural feeding option and for some, the confidence this class provides will help you make the right decision for you and your baby.
