This course is very popular during the pre and postnatal stage. It is offered on two Saturdays per month or Friday evenings. The course is 2 hours in length for infant only and 3 hours for infant and child. Class includes lecture, video and hands-on guided practice.
Topics Include: Anatomy review. ABC's of CPR. Emergency care of conscious and unconscious infant and or child for CPR and foreign body airway obstruction. Causes of accidents in the infancy/childhood period. Risk factors for heart disease and cardiac/respiratory/arrest. Injury prevention and safety measures.
