| Plastic Surgery
The Division of Plastic Surgery is staffed with 26 Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons. Eleven (11) of these surgeons are on an emergency call schedule. A full range of plastic and reconstructive procedures are performed.
- Breast reconstruction following mastectomy for cancer -- Since 1979, many hundreds of breast reconstruction surgeries have been performed utilizing several different techniques.
- Microvascular surgery -- Several of the surgeons are experienced in microvascular surgery performing "free flaps".
- Breast reduction -- A very common complaint among women is excessive heaviness of breasts. Many reduction surgeries are performed each year.
- Wound care -- Some of our surgeons specialize in treating difficult wound healing problems.
- Cosmetic surgery -- Cosmetic surgery continues to expand its horizons. Recently laser skin resurfacing is performed as well as the more recognized procedures such as liposuction, breast augmentation, face lifts, rhinoplasties, blepharoplasties.
