The Wound Care Center The Greater Baltimore Wound Care Center is a short term, aggressive outpatient wound treatment and management program that offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to wound care. Each patient receives a thorough initial appraisal, including diagnostic testing as appropriate, with special emphasis on the wound and the factors that affect wound healing. A customized treatment plan is developed for the patient within the framework of our state-of-the-art clinical pathway. This may include further vascular assessment and revascularization if necessary, followed by infection control measures, debridement, edema control, skin grafting, nutritional counseling, and ongoing patient education to support wound healing and prevent recurrence of the wound.
