Preparing for the Day of Surgery
Check with your physician about the following:
  • Stop all aspirin and motrin as per your physician's instructions
  • If crutches are needed after surgery, they must be obtained before the procedure with crutch walking instructions. Bring your crutches with you the day of surgery.
  • Check with your physiciain regarding medicine and dosages you may continue to take prior to your surgery.
  • Complete your Pre-Surgical Assessment Form found in our information packet and bring the day of surgery.
  • If you have a procedure with anesthesia, please make sure that you have help at home for a couple of days following surgery.

  • Breast milk is permitted up to 3 hours before surgery.
  • Formula is treated as a solid.
  • No smoking or gum chewing after midnight the night before surgery
