Office Support Assistant
In support to the hospital, the office support assistant performs routine, day-to-day functions within an office environment.
- Process information according to established procedures and specific directions.
- Copy, collate, and file according to department guidelines.
- Answer phones according to established procedures.
- Use phone, computer, copier and other office equipment with accuracy according to department procedures.
- Attention to detail.
- Work effectively without direct supervision.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to function as a team player.
This position description briefly describes this role's responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as determined to support the hospital. All volunteers are required to (a) notify designated staff member of any absences; (b) sign in and out when reporting to and leaving their volunteer assignment; (c) conform to established dress code including wearing hospital-issued name badge; (d) maintain confidentiality; and (e) adhere to annual compliance requirements as set forth by GBMC and its regulatory agency.
