Dr. Kimmel has been the Medical Director of the Greater Baltimore Center for Rehabilitation Medicine since its inception in 2005. He completed comprehensive training as a Lymphologist at the Klose Lymphedema Certification Program at Harvard Medical School. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine. As an attending physician at the Greater Baltimore Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center, Dr. Kimmel recognized the unfilled need for care for patients with Lymphedema. He became the driving force behind the creation of the Greater Baltimore Lymphedema Center which has rapidly become one of the nation's leading referral centers for complex Lymphedema patients. The Center has continued to expand and now encompasses a full spectrum of rehabilitation a services.
