Allison Jensen, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who serves as the Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Eye Center at GBMC. She completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. She specializes in comprehensive ophthalmic care for pediatric and adolescent patients including amblyopia (“lazy eye”), strabismus (“eye misalignment”), lacrimal disorders, and retinopathy of prematurity. She is a principal investigator for numerous clinical trials with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group who study eye disorders that affect children.
Dr. Jensen completed her residency training at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, and her fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
In addition to her role at GBMC, Dr. Jensen is the Pediatric Ophthalmologist consultant for the Maryland School for the Blind and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland. She is an active fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
