Dr. Scott joined GBMC as a pediatric hospitalist in 2015 after finishing her Pediatrics Residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She assumed her role as Clinical Director of GBMC's Pediatric Inpatient and Emergency Medicine in July of 2017 and she serves as an active member on the Pediatrics Peer Review Committee, the Emergency Department Steering Committee, the Pediatric Nursing Practice Council, and the Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Collaborative Committee.
Dr. Scott obtained her undergraduate degree from Rhodes College (Memphis, TN) and then went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Tennessee (Memphis, TN). She was born and raised in Lexington, KY (home of the University of Kentucky Wildcats), so one of the hardest things about medical school was having to endure the fandom of Tennessee's 'Big Orange Nation.'
When Dr. Scott isn't cheering on the Cats (usually only having something to cheer about during basketball season) she is cheering on her husband, Andy, who is the Head Baseball Coach at the Park School of Baltimore.
