It’s been just over a year since GBMC broke ground on The Promise Project. At the time, the design for the Sandra R. Berman Pavilion was coming together. Now that work is complete – not only do we have the renderings we shared in our last newsletter, we have completed floor plans.
With those come a formal set of funding opportunities, which the GBMC Philanthropy team will use to memorialize generous gifts by naming areas in the new building in accordance with the donor’s wishes.
Because this is a new home for an existing program, many familiar names will be displayed in the new Berman Pavilion. The Patient Education Room in the Oncology Support Services Department will continue to be named in gratitude for Phyllis Cole Friedman’s generosity. And the Sheila K. Riggs Radiation Oncology Center will be reoriented so patients enter from a corridor connected to the Berman Pavilion.
From exam rooms to the new Boutique, there are still many opportunities to support this new home for cancer care and create a philanthropic legacy in the community.
