It is predicted that by the year 2025, the United States will have a shortage of more than 12,000 nurses at the bedside. This national nursing shortage has been the impetus for GBMC to think outside the box in our recruitment and retention of nurses. With so many choices for healthcare employment in the Baltimore area, and more volume in our system than ever before, it was time to get creative.
Six of GBMC HealthCare’s outstanding nurses have been recognized in Baltimore magazine’s 2018 “Excellence in Nursing” issue! Nominations were collected from across the region and 50 winners in 21 specialties were selected by a panel of nurse advisors. GBMC is extremely proud of all its caregivers and congratulates the following nurses on their well-deserved honor:
