Touching Letters From Children in Our Community

April 17, 2020
Weeks ago, we were thrilled to receive touching letters of encouragement for our staff and patients written by Bella Grace Young, 9 and Nicholas Young, 6 (pictured above). At a time when our world is experiencing such heartache and uncertainty, these letters provide hope to those who need it most. While we, as an organization, cannot thank our healthcare heroes enough, it’s the encouragement from our community that keeps these heroes going. Many of these frontline providers did not choose a career in healthcare for the thanks or recognition; but because they want to make a difference in our world by helping people.

As we celebrated the Week of the Young Child in America, it is only fitting that we recognize Bella Grace and Nicholas for the difference they have made in the lives of our healthcare heroes and patients. Overnight our homes have become classrooms, offices, and playgrounds, and many families may be left wondering what they can do to give back. To learn more about how you can give back during this time, please visit or donate to the GBMC HealthCare Workers Fund to support our healthcare heroes.
