At Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC), we have an extraordinary team of nurses who support our mission by providing the highest quality of care and service to every patient who enters our doors. Our nursing team consists of over 1,100 Medical Center nurses and more than 120 Hospice nurses, with an average length of employment of 10 years. They enable us to see more than 23,000 inpatient cases and approximately 52,000 ER visits per year. While we work to provide the best level of care possible each day, we are also devoted to giving back to our community. We’ve formed strong partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and individuals to promote good health and disease prevention in addition to providing outreach, education, and clinical services to our community.

Nick Pennington joined GBMC HealthCare in June of 2019 as a Senior Recruiter. In this role, he recruits for a variety of clinical and non-clinical professional positions. Nick had previously worked as a Recruitment Specialist at the University of Maryland Medical Center heading their student nurse and supplemental staffing recruitment efforts. Nick has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland where he was a tennis team captain, a Master of Science focused in Health Systems Management from the University of Baltimore, and is a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter.
Melanie Fish joined GBMC HealthCare in March of 2019 as a Senior Recruiter. In this full-cycle recruitment role, she works closely with multiple departments of business and health professionals. She is responsible for seeking out exceptional candidates for positions in support of the state-of-the art GBMC Hospital and 40+ Physician Practices. Melanie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Towson University. She is a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter.
Gloria McDowell joined GBMC HealthCare in April of 2019 as the HR, Talent Acquisition Coordinator. In this role she serves as the Talent Acquisition Onboarding Coordinator for the recruitment team. Gloria has over 13 years of experience in healthcare human resources. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University Maryland University College in Human Resource Management, and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and Specialization from University of Maryland Global Campus.
Vlad Raina joined the Gilchrist Recruitment Team in July 2020 as a Senior Recruiter. Vlad is a passionate, data-driven, and insightful Talent Acquisition professional that skillfully matches the right person, at the right time, for the right position. Throughout his varied background, ranging from retail, startup, Fortune 500, and not-for-profit companies, he has grown his skills in full-cycle recruiting, strategic sourcing and screening, offer negotiations, placement, and onboarding. Vlad prides himself on cultivating strong business relationships with Hiring Managers to understand business needs. As a recruiter, he strives to improve the Hiring Manager and candidate experience by providing excellent customer service at every step of the recruiting process. Vlad graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in Finance. He is a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter and a Recruiter Academy Certified Recruiter.
Megan Schoenfliess joined GBMC HealthCare in August 2020 as an HR Coordinator. In this role she serves as the Talent Acquisition Onboarding Coordinator for the recruitment team. Megan has been working in healthcare human resources since 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English, and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Development, both from Towson University.
Gina Collacchi joined GBMC Healthcare in December of 2020 as a Recruiter for a variety of clinical and non-clinical roles. Gina was previously a healthcare-based Recruiting Manager with a local staffing agency for 4 years prior to joining GBMC. Gina has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Salisbury University. As a recruiter, Gina prides herself on her ability to build strong relationships with applicants and managers alike.
