A Message From Dr. G

I’m honored to join you as GBMC HealthCare’s new President and CEO. What drew me here (and what inspires me every day) is this health system’s deep commitment to its people, its patients, and its purpose.

In every role I’ve held, the best ideas have always come from the people closest to the work. That’s why, as I step into this new chapter with you, I want to start not with a directive, but with a pledge.

Here are a few things I want you to know about me

  1. I have 5 amazing children who keep me on my toes. They are my world. Everything I do is to set an example for them and make them proud.
  2. I live and breathe Texas A&M football. Stay away from me when they lose.
  3. I like quotes — get used to it.

BETTER TOGETHER: MY PROMISE TO YOU

I will be visible and available. Whether it's rounding, grabbing coffee, or hearing concerns face-to-face, I believe leadership starts with presence.
I will listen before leading. I come to GBMC HealthCare with ideas, but your voice will help shape every important decision we make.
I will champion your expertise. You know your roles, your teams, and your patients. I will support your work, not stand in its way.
I will earn your trust with transparency. Even when the answers are hard, you deserve the truth, and I will always give it to you.
I will keep patients at the center and you by my side. Our mission is health, healing, and hope. My role is to make sure you have what you need to deliver it every day.
