Alice Cootauco, MD

Alice C. Cootauco, MD, is Head of the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine and a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with GBMC Health Partners - Perinatal Associates. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Prior to joining GBMC, Dr. Cootauco practiced maternal fetal medicine at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center for more than 16 years and was the director of its Maternal-Fetal Medicine Perinatal Center from 2022-2025. 

Her clinical interests include prenatal care of high-risk obstetric patients, prenatal ultrasound and fetal diagnosis, including chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis. In addition to medical complications of pregnancy, she has a special interest in multiple gestations and preterm deliveries. Dr. Cootauco is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
