Emergency 
With 45 patient-care rooms, GBMC’s Emergency Department is designed for family-focused care, including adult and pediatric treatment and an Urgent Care Center.

Peri-Operative Services 
Provides nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of both operative and diagnostic procedures, including surgical services and invasive procedures.

Critical Care Inpatient 
GBMC’s critical care team provides comprehensive care to seriously ill patients within a 12-bed medical intensive care unit and a 12-bed surgical intensive care unit. 

Medical / Surgical 
Nursing staff coordinates patient care in collaboration with physicians on seven inpatient units, including one dedicated to oncology, all equipped with telemetry capabilities.

Maternal Child Health 
In addition to the services provided in Labor & Delivery, we provide specialized care for high-risk pregnancies. GBMC’s Level III neonatal intensive care unit is one of seven such units statewide.

All Other Specialties 
GBMC has a reputation for supporting the healthcare needs of individuals and families from birth through the senior years, and offers several positions for nursing students who are interested in working in an acute care hospital.

Pharmacy 
The Pharmacy Department provides services that support the goals of GBMC. Our pharmacy team assures that patients receive the most appropriate drug therapies to maximize their care, while minimizing negative outcomes in a cost-effective manner. With an extensive line of brand-name and generic drugs, our pharmacy staff practices in a technology-driven environment, using state-of-the-art systems, web-based drug information resources, and bar code scanning.

Physical Therapy 
GBMC’s specialists are recognized as clinical leaders in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy. Our clinicians are dedicated to optimizing patients' mobility and quality of life. You’ll be part of a close-knit team of other therapists, nurses, and physicians, collaborating together for the entire course of treatment.

Occupational Therapy 
At GBMC our Occupational Therapists provide comprehensive care in a supportive workplace, where therapists can advance based on their learning and development. GBMC is a stimulating and challenging atmosphere, where you work directly with patients recovering from different conditions. You’ll be part of a close-knit team of other therapists, nurses, and physicians, collaborating together for the entire course of treatment.

Laboratory 
The laboratory provides reliable, timely, and informative services to physicians and other healthcare providers for the benefit of the patient. GBMC’s lab technicians educate in the science of laboratory medicine, and develop laboratory technology and services through applied research.

Respiratory Therapy 
The Respiratory Therapists of GBMC are dedicated to serving the needs of the community and providing the highest quality of healthcare to patients and their families. We strive to expand the boundaries of respiratory care through education, research and collaboration.

Radiology 
We are a full-service, medical imaging department that performs screening, diagnostic, and interventional procedures for the Greater Baltimore community. Our mission is to provide every patient with timely access to the latest medical imaging technology in a caring environment and to quickly deliver accurate electronic medical reports to our physicians. 

Physician 
Nearly 1,300 physicians serve on GBMC’s medical staff, making it among the largest of any community hospital in the mid-Atlantic region. With its size comes a wealth of clinical knowledge, combined with a collaborative spirit to better understand the medical issues that patients confront on a daily basis. Physicians’ ability to cross-reference information with such a wide variety of colleagues leads to a higher level of medical sophistication and expertise not typically present in a community hospital setting.
