As of July, 2015, there are 703 graduates from GBMC's internal medicine program. They span the globe and have pursued a wide range of careers. GBMC alumni are involved with supporting our residents through fundraising and networking. In June, 2011, a council of interested alumni was formed to direct the creation of a formal network to support these activities. Their goals are to gather interested alumni who are willing to speak to residents about specific career options, geographic networking for rotations, and research project mentoring. A grateful patient fund has been established to provide specific grants to help fund resident projects.
GBMC Internal Medicine Alumni Network
Since 2011, GBMC’s Internal Medicine residency alumni have built a strong network to support residents through mentorship, career guidance, and fundraising. Today, more than 850 graduates span the globe, pursuing diverse careers while staying connected to each other and to our program.

Our alumni are creating new options for communicating with each other through our Facebook group and a more secure social networking site called yammer. On yammer we are posting annual year books and other information that you might want to protect from the wider Facebook community. The site is by invitation only, open to all GBMC alumni. Email us at medres@gbmc.org, and we'll send you an invitation. We welcome contributions to these sites and want to hear your ideas for how they might assist alumni in staying connected with each other. Upcoming alumni events and news are posted on our social media sites.
If you are interested in being listed on the alumni resident support network, please don't hesitate to send us an email at medres@gbmc.org. If you would like to donate to the research fund or other educational funding, please visit our philanthropy page and designate your donation for the medical education fund.
