How long have you been at GBMC?
I’ve been with GBMC for 23 years.

Where did you complete your training?
University of Maryland School of Medicine.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Collaborating with highly trained clinicians and engaged interdisciplinary teams to implement clinical practice improvements that cultivate an organization-wide culture of mobility.

What is one key way you support a zero harm/safety culture?
By advancing safe patient-handling practices and educating multidisciplinary caregivers on appropriate mobility techniques and equipment. This ensures early and safe mobilization of hospitalized patients, mitigates the harmful effects of immobility, and protects both patients and caregivers during mobility interventions.

What is one fun fact about you?
I was raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland along the Choptank River and owned my first boat at thirteen. That experience sparked a deep love for the Chesapeake Bay, marine biology, and Maryland seafood, especially crabs, oysters, and Rockfish. If not for a series of sports injuries, I might have pursued marine biology instead of physical therapy.
