Nationally-recognized oncology care, now closer to home
The Berman Cancer Institute at Crossroads brings its full suite of medical oncology and infusion therapy services to the Pikesville/Owings Mills community and beyond. Located at 21 Crossroads, the office includes a full medical oncology center led by Ari Elman, MD, a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist, as well as five infusion chairs staffed by the Berman Cancer Institute’s oncology- certified infusion nurses. In addition, patients have access to clinical trials, oncology support services, and a connection to all the resources of the Sandra and Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute and the GBMC HealthCare system. The location meets an important need for patients in this community by providing convenient and timely access to the highest quality cancer care.
Ari Elman, MD
Hematology & Medical Oncology
Ari Elman, MD, leads the oncology and infusion team at the Berman Cancer Institute at Crossroads. Dr. Elman is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist who treats patients at Crossroads and in the Sandra and Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC.

Oncology Support Services
Following the complex daily regimens of cancer treatment can be draining for any patient, especially for someone who may need extra assistance. GBMC’s Oncology Support Services team provides free counseling, education, and connections to organizations that help patients and families shoulder their burden. The team can help patients access a full range of assistance programs such as:- Pharmaceutical company financial assistance programs
- Referrals to support groups
- Home care
- Hospice
- Palliative care
- Patient education materials
- Social Security disability
- Transportation programs
Clinical Trials
GBMC has a wide-ranging program of clinical trials with an emphasis on oncology. Our clinical trials nurses and research associates are well-versed in clinical protocols and work together with physicians to provide the most promising new treatments for multiple cancers. Through clinical trials, participants have the opportunity to explore treatment options not yet approved by the FDA, and to contribute to medical advancements that may benefit generations to come.Learn more about Clinical Trials
