What do you bring to the organization as a leader?
Positivity, dedication, and a desire to make this amazing organization even better than it already is.

What is the most rewarding part of being a manager?
I love being able to identify employees’ strengths and support them in capitalizing on their passions. When we help our team find deeper purpose, the reward extends far beyond the shifts they work. Witnessing that growth is something I truly value.

What is the value of being a leader in a non-system hospital?
Being a leader in a non-system hospital gives us the flexibility to be creative and unique. I often use the term “The GBMC Way” when interviewing new candidates—it reflects our strong commitment to the community and sets us apart from the rest.

What advice do you have for upcoming leaders?
There’s usually more than one right way to approach a situation or support an employee. Everyone brings unique experiences, and there’s value in those diverse perspectives.

Anything else you'd like to share?
I’ve been at GBMC for 21 years and often refer to myself as a “lifer.” I began as an ED nurse, transitioned to the Patient Safety/Quality Department, and now serve as Nurse Manager of Unit 45. I’m also a proud sports mom—you’ll often find me on the sidelines of a soccer or lacrosse field, or at a basketball or volleyball court, loving every second of it!
