Combining advanced surgical expertise with compassionate support to help patients move through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery with confidence

The Surgical Oncology team at GBMC provides comprehensive surgical care for patients diagnosed with cancer and complex tumors. Working closely with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, genetic counselors, nurse navigators, and rehabilitation specialists, our surgeons create individualized treatment plans designed around each patient’s unique needs.

Our specialists use evidence-based techniques and advanced technology to diagnose, stage, and surgically treat many types of cancer. Whenever appropriate, minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures are used to support faster recovery, reduced discomfort, and shorter hospital stays.

At GBMC, patients benefit from a coordinated approach to care through the Sandra and Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute. From the first appointment through survivorship, patients and families are supported every step of the way.
