GBMC Health Partners is introducing a new way to deliver the care you need when you need it. Established primary care patients of most practices* are now able to access same-day telehealth visits on demand, seven days a week, no appointment needed. *This service is not currently available to patients of GBMC Health Partners – Jonestown. 

How It Works

  • Log in to your MyChart account between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. any day of the week and join the virtual queue. You’ll be seen in the order you sign in, and you’ll receive an estimated wait time.
  • Patients must be 14 years or older; pediatric patients must be present with their parent or guardian.

What to Expect

  • Telehealth Visits on Demand are about 10 minutes long.
  • They’re designed for same-day concerns like cold or flu symptoms, a rash, a minor injury, or a change in an existing condition that needs prompt attention.
  • A GBMC Health Partners provider* will evaluate your concern and can prescribe medication, order lab work, or arrange a follow-up if needed. There are limitations to what can be evaluated virtually. If the provider determines that an in-person exam is necessary, they will help you arrange one. *Please note: the caregiver you see may not be your regular provider.

A Few More Things to Know

As an established patient of GBMC Health Partners Primary Care, you qualify to use this service.

  • The virtual queue is open daily, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • You need to be logged in to MyChart to access the virtual queue.
  • You must be physically located in Maryland at the time of your visit.
  • If the queue reaches capacity, you may be asked to try again the next day or call your practice to arrange care.
  • Billed like a standard office visit — contact your insurance for cost details.
